At dawn I wake,
Or maybe three;
Because, you see,
I have to
See.

‘Twouldn’t be bad
If nights, only
Affected me
So I had to
Be me.

Yet, when I’m out
(Even, hourly)
I cross my knees
‘Cause I have to
Knee.

My kinder friends
Say, “Don’t worry.”
They feel free
Whilst I cannot
Feel free.

I tried it, once;
(My poor kidneys)
You just can’t wait
When you have
A baby.
