A Parents’ Bedtime Poem

At last, I lie
Upon my bed.
At last, I sigh
And rest my head;

As, quietly
They all a-snooze.
As, silently
My book, peruse;

Till, of course,
One breaks the calm.
Till, its source
Cries loudly, “MAHM!”

    1. 🙂 I’m sorry; “Dad” didn’t rhyme with “calm…”

      Let’s go with:
      Till, of course,
      Bad dreams are had.
      Till, the source
      Cries loudly, “DAD!”
